In its eighth consecutive year, the Visa Everywhere Initiative continues to challenge fintech startups to tackle some of the payments industry’s toughest problems. This global competition has attracted nearly 15,000 applicants from more than 100 countries, and since its 2015 inception, alumni have collectively raised over $48 billion, highlighting the program’s ability to identify and foster innovation.
More than just a competition, the Visa Everywhere Initiative offers an empowering platform for fintech startups to shape the future of payments and commerce. It provides participants with an opportunity to display their innovative solutions while gaining global visibility. This year, Visa will host multiple regional competitions, and one finalist per region will be selected. The global finalists will be invited to present their solution on stage in San Francisco at TechCrunch Disrupt, where the finals will be held and where Visa will award the grand prize of $100,000.
