SAN FRANCISCO, CA

Ferris Plock

Ferris Plock is an artist living and working as a full-time artist in the Inner Richmond neighborhood of San Francisco. Ferris Plock's work, which is both experimental and classically grounded, comfortably occupies a space between graphic expression, stylized representation, surrealism and sketch. His preferred medium is a combination of acrylic, spray paint, pencil, pen and ink and gold leaf. The combination of humor and detailed line work plays a major part in his work. Much of his work is an imagined and highly personal visual conversation between the multiple characters he has created. Enhanced by complex, delicate layers, his often bold-colored works exist not only as individual pieces, but as part of larger themed installations or site-specific works. He has exhibited all over the world and still finds time to raise two kids and two cats with his lovely wife who remains his most important collaborator.
