Visa doubles down on global data centers

New Singapore and UK data centers are designed to meet growing global demand for digital payments

Visa will begin processing global transactions in two state-of-the-art data centers—one in Singapore and another in the United Kingdom—come 2018. Our data centers are vital to the speed, security and reliability of Visa's payment network. With our expanded data center footprint, we're boosting the network's resilience and geo-diversity, meaning better service for our clients, merchants and cardholders.

Having best-in-class processing technology also helps us bring payment innovations to new reaches of the connected economy. With the rise of mobile devices and the Internet of Things, we are preparing for exponential growth in the number of ways to pay and be paid. To answer this demand we need powerful platforms that connect our clients, merchants and cardholders at lightning speed. The two data centers will help us support the growing demand for digital commerce around the globe, while maintaining the secure, convenient and always-on service that our clients and partners expect.
