Biography
Dr. Mohsen Minaei joined Visa Research as a Staff Research Scientist in September 2020. Mohsen received his Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Science from Purdue University in August 2020 and May 2019. During his Ph.D., his research focused on designing and implementing better privacy-enhancing mechanisms for content deletion on social and archival platforms. He has also worked on obfuscating censored messages using various cryptocurrencies and blockchains. While at Purdue, he completed three internships at Microsoft with Data Scientist, Program Manager, and Software Engineer roles. His last internship in 2019 was with the Blockchain team at Visa Research.
As a member of the Blockchain team, his research interests are in computer security and privacy, blockchain, cryptocurrency, and secure computation, in particular, implementing privacy-preserving smart contracts and designing fair protocols for cryptocurrencies and blockchains. He has published papers in several international conferences, including Computer and Communications Security (CCS), USENIX Security, Network and Distributed System Security Symposium (NDSS), Privacy Enhancing Technologies Symposium (PETS), and others.
