Visa VIP Lounges Across Five Locations Will Feature Appearances by Olympic Athletes, Olympic Games-Themed Giveaways, Brazilian-Themed Food and Beverage, and More

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jul. 7, 2016-- Today, Visa announced the creation of five Visa VIP Lounges exclusively for Visa Chase United Cardmembers to celebrate the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. Courtesy of Visa, the Visa VIP Lounges will offer exclusive experiences in the following locations – Rio de Janeiro, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago and New York. For four days in Rio de Janeiro, Visa Chase Cardmembers can enjoy a complimentary retreat at the world famous Copacabana Beach while attending the Olympic Games, hosted by Olympic Gold Medalist Summer Sanders. In each U.S. location, Visa Chase Cardmembers can experience a one-night version of the Visa VIP Lounge and get up close and personal with superstar Olympians and hear their exciting stories. All Visa VIP Lounges will have Olympic athletes, Olympic Games-themed merchandise giveaways, Brazilian-inspired food and drinks, and other fun activities.

Rio de Janeiro VIP Lounge Details

The Rio de Janeiro Visa VIP Lounge will be open August 11th through August 14th from 6 p.m.2 a.m. The venue is located at the Copacabana Palace Hotel in the heart of Rio de Janeiro. General admission to the Rio Visa VIP Lounge is complimentary and does not require a reservation. Cardmembers can simply show their Visa Chase United Credit Card to enter with up to three guests.

Special features at the Rio de Janeiro Visa VIP Lounge include:

  • Olympic athlete meet-and-greets with Summer Sanders (swimming) and Nadia Comaneci (gymnastics)
  • Great food, beer, wine and soft drinks

U.S. Visa VIP Lounges Details

Access to the U.S. Visa VIP Lounges is by reservation and can be booked by Cardmembers for $25 per person using their Visa Chase United Credit Card. All proceeds will be donated to the United States Olympic Committee. The schedules for the U.S. Visa VIP Lounges are:

    • Olympic athletes scheduled to appear: Amanda Beard (swimming), Brandi Chastain (soccer) and Jonny Moseley (skiing)
  • Chicago, IL: Thursday, August 11th from 6-10 p.m. local
