At Visa, we care for the whole you – and that means we know you’re much more than your day job, you might also be a mother or a caregiver among other hobbies, interests and personal passions. Given we want our people to find a healthy balance between juggling the demands of work and personal life, we’ve introduced benefits geared toward our employees with family obligations.
This commitment was acknowledged today, when Visa was named one of this year’s 100 Best Companies by Working Mother. Being included on this list recognizes Visa’s dedication to going the extra mile to support working-mom employees as they grow their careers while nurturing their growing families. Along with this award, Jolen Anderson, Visa’s Chief Diversity Officer, was also honored as a Working Mother of the Year.
Jolen joined the Visa family in 2005 and in 2014, she became Visa’s very first Chief Diversity Officer, challenging our definitions of inclusion and building awareness around issues that matter. All this, while raising three children under the age of five, including a set of twins!
In the spirit of real inclusion and keeping her fellow working mothers at Visa in mind, Jolen, in partnership with Visa’s global benefits team, has supported key improvements to employee benefits including extended maternity, paternity and adoption leaves; expanded back-up child care, and elder care to make Visa a more family-friendly and inclusive workplace for working parents.
At Visa, we aim to foster a culture that allows for balance between work and personal lives, and even eliminates some priorities that you need to juggle. We care for our employees not just as individuals, but as family members and parents.
I’m so fortunate that Visa has provided me with the opportunities and support to do impactful work and progress my career while caring for my family — Jolen said.
