Step 2:
During the filing process, you will be prompted for payment options. Pay the balance due with your Visa card.

Paying with your Visa card is easy and hassle free. No need to write and mail a check. Just follow the steps below:

Have your tax forms available.
Step 2:
Visit one of the IRS approved service providers and follow their easy instructions to pay your balance due taxes with your Visa card:
  • Visit Official Payments Corp® or call 1-800-2PAY-TAX to pay federal taxes and taxes for select states and to determine whether your state accepts tax payments with Visa.
  • Visit PAY1040.com or call 1-888-PAY1040 to pay federal taxes.

Paying taxes with your Visa card is easy, hassle-free and right on-time. Simply follow the steps below:

Step 1:
For local and municipal taxes such as property taxes have your tax bill or statement available. For estimated or installment tax payments on your personal income taxes, have your forms ready.
Step 2:
Pay your balance due taxes with your Visa card by visiting your local tax authority website, or by visiting Official Payments Corp® or, by calling (1-800-2PAY-TAX).

Will there be any fees?

Cardholders may be charged a fee for use of payment cards, which will vary based upon the tax amount due and the service provider selected but if you choose to pay with your Visa Debit card you will only be charged a low flat fees of $3.95. Note: Flat fees of $3.95 applies only to payments made through participating service providers Official Payments Corp® (1-800-2PAY-TAX) and PAY1040.com (1-888-PAY1040), and other participating merchants. If a charge is assessed, your monthly statement will contain two separate line item transactions—one for the actual amount of tax paid to the taxing authority, and another for the tax payment fee paid to the payment service provider.For more information about fees assessed by the payment service providers, visit: Official Payments Corp® (1-800-2PAY-TAX) or PAY1040.com (1-888-PAY1040).

Can I pay my taxes using a credit card or a debit card?

Yes. You can pay your taxes using either your Visa credit card or Visa Debit card.

Can I get reward points when I pay with my Visa card?

Reward points are offered by the financial institution that issues your Visa card. Check with them for specific terms and agreements.
