Getting Started

What is ReadyLink?

Visa ReadyLink is a convenient service that provides you with a simple and cost-effective way to add funds to your eligible and participating reloadable Visa Prepaid card.

Which cards are considered eligible to participate in Visa ReadyLink?

Visa ReadyLink is available in the U.S. for eligible and participating Visa Payroll, Visa Reloadable Prepaid, Visa Buxx, Visa TravelMoney, and certain Visa Government Disbursement cards.

How do I find out if my card participates in Visa ReadyLink?

Just look for the Visa ReadyLink symbol on the back of your card or contact your card provider.

What are the benefits of Visa ReadyLink?

Visa ReadyLink gives you an additional and convenient way of adding value to your Visa Prepaid card and immediate access to those funds (upon approval by your card provider). Plus, Visa Prepaid cards may be used to make purchases and bill payments everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted.

Who should I contact if I have questions about a Visa ReadyLink load transaction or my Visa Prepaid card?

Your card provider is the primary contact for any questions you may have about either.

Adding Value

How do I complete a Visa ReadyLink load transaction?

Present your card, along with the funds to be loaded, to the cashier at any Visa ReadyLink location. Your card will be swiped, and your funds will be applied. The cashier will provide you with a receipt, and you'll have immediate access to your funds (upon approval by your card provider).

How soon are funds available to me?

Visa ReadyLink gives you immediate access to your funds (upon approval by your card provider).

What types of funds can I use to load my card?

Each participating Visa ReadyLink retailer may choose the type of funds that are accepted, e.g. cash.

Is there a minimum or maximum load amount per transaction or per day?

Please contact your card provider for minimum and maximum amounts. Occasionally, a retailer may set load limits per transaction that are lower than a provider's established limits.

The merchant couldn't make Visa ReadyLink work with my card. What happened?

If the participating Visa ReadyLink merchant could not add funds to your participating Visa ReadyLink-enabled prepaid card, your load request was most likely not approved. This might be because you've exceeded the limit your card provider places on load activity, such as a maximum number of loads in one day, or on the total balance on the card. Merchants may also place limits on the frequency of loads. Contact your card provider by calling the customer service number on the back of your card for more information.

Are there any transaction fees associated with Visa ReadyLink?

You may be assessed a fee by your card provider and/or participating retailers for each Visa ReadyLink load transaction. These fees, if any, are established independently by each participating provider and retailer.

How can I check the available balance on my Visa Prepaid card?

Please contact your card provider for details regarding your available balance.

I don't see my recent Visa ReadyLink load reflected in my account's balance. What should I do?

Contact your card provider by calling the customer service number on the back of your card and have your receipt ready. Your receipt will include the name and location where the Visa ReadyLink load took place, the date, and the amount of the load. The receipt may also contain a reference number. Your card provider may request that you provide them with a copy of the receipt while they investigate.

How do I get my money back if my Visa ReadyLink load attempt fails?

If you completed your Visa ReadyLink load through a MoneyGram agent, go back to any MoneyGram agent location with your original receipt. Complete a MoneyGram “receive form” with the reference number listed on the receipt and MoneyGram should immediately refund your load amount.

If you completed your Visa ReadyLink load through a TIO kiosk, contact TIO Customer Service at 1.888.679.3322. Please have your receipt with you. A TIO customer service agent may request information from your receipt and should direct you to where you can pick up your refund.

For all other load locations, if the load fails the cashier should simply hand back your cash.
