Visa Easy Payment Service makes these transactions faster and easier for both merchants and consumers.

How It Works


No Signature or PIN
When a transaction qualifies for VEPS, most merchants can process the transaction without a signature or PIN. In addition:

  • Merchants are not required to provide a receipt, unless requested by the cardholder
  • Merchants are not required to retain receipts for qualifying transactions
  • Merchants benefit from increased chargeback protection


Qualifying Transactions
VEPS is available on all Visa card types as long as the transaction is:

  • A Visa purchase transaction
  • Conducted in a face-to-face environment for transactions of $25 and under
  • $15 or under for transactions if conducted in unattended environment
  • Authorized
  • Conducted through a merchant with an approved Merchant Category Code (MCC)*

*Over 98% of Merchant Category Codes qualify

Getting Started


No registration requirements.
There is no additional fee and no registration requirements. Simply run qualifying transactions as normal, but skip the signature and provide your customers with a receipt if they request one.
