The program paves the way for non-traditional payment partners to easily navigate the complexities of the payments ecosystem, and to gain access to Visa IP, licenses, certifications and best practices.
The Visa Ready Partner Program for mPOS provides developers of acceptance hardware and client software applications with documentation to expedite understanding of Visa’s requirements for mobile payment acceptance solutions. Approved hardware configurations may include acceptance for chip, chip and pin, payWave, and magnetic stripe transactions. Mobile client application software associated with hardware devices is also eligible for approval. Subsequent to development of a solution that is aligned with Visa’s requirements, vendors may submit their solution to Visa for approval. Once Visa has confirmed the vendor’s compliance to the program requirements, Visa will provide the vendor with a Visa Ready symbol that can be used to market and promote the solution.
