Visa and NFIB educate small business on data security
Small-business owners and entrepreneurs converged on the Sheraton Grand Sacramento on October 2 for "Identity Theft, Fraud and Data Security", an educational event co-hosted by Visa and the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB). Of particular interest to event attendees were steps they could take to become compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard ("PCI DSS") and protect their customers. Visa's Risk team additionally developed a small business security guide, "How to Protect Your Business and Your Customers from Data Fraud", which was distributed to 350,000 NFIB members across the U.S. Find out more about our campaign.
Management talks at USAG Annual National Conference & Tradeshow
The USA Gymnastics (USAG) tradeshow in Philadelphia, held in conjunction with the 2007 Visa Championships, featured lectures and educational sessions given by top professionals in the field. Rob Chen, Vice President of Small Business Marketing at Visa Inc., provided insights into the small business outlook from a profit and loss standpoint, in addition to giving critical cash management tips for the USAG small business owners.
